A Knowledge Panel is the information box that can appear on the right side of a Google search result for a person, business or brand. It usually shows a photo, a short description, and links to verified profiles.

Google builds panels from structured data and from sources it considers reliable, not from a form you fill out. That’s why panels can’t simply be requested; they have to be earned through consistent, verifiable information across the web.

Not everyone gets one automatically. It generally shows up once Google has enough confidence that you’re a distinct, notable entity worth describing on its own. That’s the gap our Knowledge Panel service closes.
